I must say that I am very much enjoying reading all your posts, and have found some very moving indeed. I think that our beloved Professor would be delighted with the way that his works have been such a help in times of need. I can't say that LotR has ever really been an "escape" for me, other than in the usual sense of escaping the normality of real life into an exciting world of adventure and great deeds. I have started reading the Silmarillion, and I am thoroughly enjoying it, although I find it very different (and not quite as absorbing) as LotR. I should have read more, but I'm spending too much time on this site at the moment! [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] Quote:
