BTW, I can testify that English-captioned bootlegs are available in at least some parts of Asia. I haven't got a clue as to why it's done like that, but they are out there, and the captions are usually just as wretched. Judging by some of the ones that turn up - "Do you know how the ox first came to be?" or "The spitting of Sauron endured" - I think what these people are doing is running the soundtrack through a voice-recognition program, and these are notorious for their close-but-no-cigar approach to recognizing words. The accent with which McKellen says "spirit" could *almost* sound like there's a T in place of the R; similarly with Christopher Lee and "ox" for "Orcs." So I'm inclined to think that they're real. Just my $0.02.
