Middle Earth TV Shows
As you might have guessed, Hollywood will be trying to capitalize on the awesome success of the movies, and trying to come up with ideas for TV shows that can ride on LOTR's coattails. It was a topic in chat -- see if you can come up with some possible TV show titles. Here's some to get you started.
SURVIVOR: Moria -- a collection of hobbits, men, dwarves and elves compete against each other in Balrog-tipping, orienteering, and orc-dodging, voting off others in an attempt to win an all-expense-paid trip to Valinor. Touched By A Maia -- 5 wizards sent from Manwe try to do good deeds fir the inhabitants of Middle earth, but only one actually gets anything done. Law and Order: Sauron's Intent -- The inner workings of the White Council as they attempt to bring the Dark Lord to justice. CSI Mordor -- A spinoff of Law and Order: Sauron's Intent, this show documents the actions of the private halfling investigators who actually go into the Black Land. Everybody Loves Rangers -- A situation comedy about the life of a wild teenager named Aragorn being raised by a boring family of elves. Star Trek: Earendil -- Carrying the last of the great jewels, Earendil desperatly sails the heavens in search of a decent cup of coffee. I know you can do better than this.... "Nine's Company"- The Fellowship members try to put up with each other. "Barliman's"- Centered around a amiable bartender, Butterbur Barliman, his pub, and his regular friends that never seem to leave. See also: Movies on LotR! King of The Underhill -- Sam and Rosie Gamgee try to deal with their interfering neighbors: Daddy Twofoot, and Sam's father Gaffer, newly married to the dowager Widow Rumble.
Leave It To Bilbo -- The untold story of the practical jokes played by the famous Baggins with his invisibility ring. Includes the classic episode, "To Lobelia Or Not To Be" Southron Park (animated) -- a group of foul-mouthed kids, left home as their fathers marched off to Mordor, try to make sense of life in the arid Deserts of Harad. More to come [ June 12, 2003: Message edited by: Thenamir ]

This is rubbish but here goes (and by the way, the real title sounds dumb so I didn't put it):
Sauron's Eye Four hobbits, one Elf, one dwarf and two Men trapped in a house together, under the watch of Sauron's Eye. They are set impossible tasks and the general public votes one out each week. Likely five-seconds-of-fame career paths on leaving the house: obscurity; breakfast TV; obscurity; DIY shows; obscurity...

Thank you for saving me the trouble, ElfEarz. I thought you might.
Yes, MERRY SPRINGER. Some of you have probably been there before the topic closed. THE YOUNG AND THE RINGWRAITHS could be a daytime soap. And Nenya & the One would be sold live on a Middle-earthen adaptation of QVC.

I thought of another one:
2nd Breakfast at Tiffany's- a classic starring Arwen Hepburn. The Bold and the Barrow-wights- a daytime Soap featuring fiendish wights (not much different fom a real soap, huh?).

Little Hole in the Shire- (Little House on the Prairie) All we need now is to find a way to put freckles and pigtails on Frodo. Mwahahahaha.
Merry Brandybuck's Flying Fellowship- (Monty Python's Flying Circus) *snickers* I can just see Frodo and Sam dressing up in old lady costumes, Boromir and Aragorn acting out the Dead Parrot sketch, and Gimli singing the Lumberjack song.
