Or, if you still don't like the ending to LotR, you're not alone. I just discovered this site that is convinced that sailing away was the wrong choice for Frodo and is determined to do everything in their power to bring him back, or to keep him from leaving in the first place:The Rescue Frodo! I've always thought that the accepted ending is fine, but boy, they put up one heck of an eloquent argument! (Actually three or four, in different fan-fics.) It also brought up an interesting possibility in my mind: what if LotR isn't really true, but just...*reverb* BASED ON A TRUE STORY? *end reverb*

I hope I don't get struck by lightning for saying that...
