Legolas places one of his knives point upward on the rock that Gimli's about to sit on, and Gimli ends up with a knife in his butt.

Gimli gets even with the elf by tying knots in his perfect hair while he is asleep. As well as putting itching powder in his shampoo.

Meanwhile, Boromir steals Gandalf's staff and replaces it with an ordinary stick. Gandalf is later banging that stick against the Bridge of Khazad-Dum and wondering why it doesn't work.
