I have no clue what happened on/near my birthday (October 2nd) because my copy of LotR is one of those really old ones printed just after the animated movie was made (so it's really really old) and all it's got for appendices is a bit of The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen, which is a pain...

If anyone knows what happened on/near my birthday, please tell me. Thanks in advance.
