You tell a Dwarf: Hey! Lots of gold and silvery goodness! Down there!
Dwarf: Oooo! Just you wait Mr. Elf, soon you'll be experiencing...(etc., etc.)
And down he goes...

You tell an Elf: Ooo! Is that a lost Silmaril?
Elf: Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!
And down he goes.

You tell a Hobbit: 1stly, that his food has been stolen, but 2ndly, that they have to journey into Rhun to get it.
Hobbit: No food? Travel abroad? ADVENTURE?! Nooooooooooooooooo!
And down he goes.
