Shadowfax rides straight past him.

Gandalf: huh...

Gandalf turns round and sees a contented Shadowfax eating carrots out of Theoden's hand, while Theoden grins evilly and waves to Gandalf.

Theoden: You didn't think I'd let you keep him, did you?
