I have two... either:

lust of power
Men are ensnared- by the possibility of having power
kingdoms are destroyed-because others want power over them
plans are ruined- because those who had the power to make plans are enslaved
love is broken- because people go out to get powerfull rather than stay with those they love
wars are fought-to overthrow counties
The wielder of the weapon
escapes without harm...-because he now rules

or....
a ring of power(especially one of the nine)

correct? (I don´t think so, to be honest)
