The Bandits have struck the Faroweed place and pillaged it thoroughly.

Letty Faroweed and her children have come into town late that night, brought in by one of the Hobbit Farmers who helped drive off the Bandits. Andreth has taken them into the Inn and sent her stable boy to the Mayor and to get Berilac. They are all meeting at the Inn at the moment - Berilac, Harald, Telien, Andreth, Letty, and Farmer Thistle.

I've done a post - do you want to go ahead and follow up on it?
