Im not entirely sure....there are no specified numbers for wither army

The only number that I can remember is that the Rohirrim are close to 500 possibly. So make it 400 to account for losses?

If so, half would have horses, and will be with the Gondorians that have them also. That will be the group Lanaey leads.

As far as signalling, flaming arrow?

It should be coordinated that those in the trees go first, then as the Wild Men are driven back, the horses close them in
