King Thranduil may be just, but he is not kind to those that he believes to have crossed him. Crossing Thranduil, I guess, is loving his son when Thranduil thinks of you as no more than a silly common Elf. And: I killed my old teacher...avenging the death of my friends, which she caused. Thranduil liked that trainer...but she was evil. She would have killed many more if I had let her. So: I was forced to flee...I doubt any of the others had the same experience.
