Kalia had wandered off, down the hall, zoned out. She snapped out of it and saw where she was. She had been standing on the steps where the whole thing had began. She smiled and walked back inside the building. The first person she ran into was Collette, who offered her an apple. She took it, smiling, and walked with her.
"Hello, Collette. How are you today?" she asked, taking a small bite of the apple.
