"Laila...Laila..." Lara moaned, leaning on Farien's shoulder. Farien and Georeleila seemed to be discussing how they could get out, but Lara couldn't think of that. She was so tired and hungry that she couldn't seem to think at all. The only thing she could do was feel the pain and the sadness. She'd never cried as much in her life as she had the past few hours. It had tired her out as much as the beatings or the lack of sleep, and it didn't seem to leave room for much else.

How did this happen? Why did it happen? Ered, why are you not here?
Thinking about her husband Lara began to cry again in earnest.
