I'm intrigued by your theory, Mithadan, but I want to know more. So are you saying that the guiding or directing force behind the "fated" stream of events is not Ilúvatar? If it is him, then doesn't this constitute direct involvement of some kind? If not, then who? The Valar (i.e. Manwë)?
