Faryn sat down in one of the old cushioned chairs with wordless wonder. The house was of good size, and smelled of sweet cinnamon and apples.
A good house it was, but the feeling of the air, she did not like. It was a strict silent air, air that made her sullen and sad before long. Faryn attempted many times during that hour, small talk, but it was the air that snapped her mouth shut near everytime it was opened.
So they sat, akwardly(sp?) in the warm room, sipping tea and nibbling the bread given to them, wordless, though it was not a new thing to see Faryn shying away from a conversation, or the rarity of her starting the conversation, but to see Tallin or Belle sitting as meekly as their servant girl, was something as rare as Faryn bursting into song in the forest (I do suppose many a rare thing had already happened). But even more a discomfort, was the uneasy air, and the forboding that continued to bite at Faryn's leg until she would finally give in. "Is this silence always so in your house?" Faryn broke out, and immediatley blushed scarlet afterwards.
