As Lilac moved back to the throng now gathered in the inn, a surly youth bumped her in the arm sending the long-awaited victuals to the floor.

"Well, young man!" She cried, crossing her arms in a rare posture of irritation.

Without seeming to have noticed her sharp exclamation of censure, the youth moved to a corner table where SHE darkly frowned, though pleased that her disguise had worked. Perhaps she would be able to fall into ignonimy in this backwards place.
