Rirrym smiled and shooed the dog off his lap, coming over to shake Cromthal's hand. "Well, then, Happy Birthday my dear Cromthal! I'm sorry, I wish I'd known earlier -- I would have at least tried to come up with an idea for a gift to give you. At least let me buy you breakfast.."

Cromthal nodded, and Rirrym hurried off to a small room off to the side to change into some cleaner clothes. He came back wearing a dark brown jerkin over a cream-colored woolen shirt. Dark brown jodphurs covered his legs and leather boots reached midway up his calves. He had knotted a belt around his waist and stepped up to a small mirror, trying to make his tangled mass of hair look a little more presentable before the two of them leave the room.

As the two of them left the room, Rym stopped for a moment to try and convince the dog to join them. Unfortunately, the dog had made himself comfortable on the bed by now and was sound asleep. "I hope he'll be alright in there until we get back.." Rym said in a soft voice. Cromthal nodded in agreement, and the two of them made their way down the hall and then down a creaking staircase.

A hobbit maiden stood at the bottom of the stairs as they arrive. "You're just in time for breakfast," she said with a smile. "What can I get for you?"
