Getting no reply to his cheery question, he smiled all the more and asked "So what's your name?"

"None of your business," snapped back the girl, rather rudely.

"What's not my business I make my business. What's your name?"

Feeling slightly unsure of the confusing speech the stranger had just made, she answered "Laiquendi. What's yours?"

"Tundil." he answered. "Call me Hapman."

"That's a jester's name" she sniggered.

"So I'm a joker. What's life without laughter?" Tundil asked. He slurped up the rest of his ale and went for a refill.

"So...Aman, was it? Do you know that girl? The one who's a prickly as a black bramble."
