FINWE
As he rode into the town, Finwë slipped his hood up over his head and kept to the side of the road. It wouldn’t do at all for someone to take a good look at his face, especially not now. He lifted his hand and softly skimmed his fingers over the long, pale scar along his cheekbone. No, it wouldn’t do at all. As he entered the town, Finwë noticed a rather comfortable-looking inn by the side of the road, and decided that both he and his horse needed a rest. They had been riding for five days, barely stopping for food and water, and they had a long way to go. Once they reached the inn, Finwë dismounted, and led his horse to the stables. There was an empty stall next to the entrance, and he led his horse inside, making sure that he had enough hay and water. As he walked out, he noticed a stable boy half-dozing by the wall. “You, boy. Take good care of my horse.” The boy jumped up, a respectful look on his face. “Yes sir. Anything you say sir.” Finwë smiled, and flipped him a silver coin. “Go have fun.” The boy nodded his head, grinning, and ran inside the stables. Finwë grinned and walked toward the main part of the Inn. He really needed some rest and one or two mugs of good ale ought to give him that. He kept his hood up as he walked in the door, and even though he attracted more than a few stares in his long, black velvet cloak, his slightly curved sword strapped across his back, two hunting daggers at his waist, and bow and quiver slung across his shoulders, he went straight to the bar. “A tankard of ale, please, and an apple if you have any.” Finwë settled down on a stool, and took out a dagger, placing it on the bar in front of him. Yes, ale and an apple or two would do very nicely. <font size=1 color=339966>[ 5:53 PM January 01, 2004: Message edited by: Finwe ]
