Telpeheled now walked between Maeralagos and Bordarigorn, speaking lightheartedly but softly of his home; the trees, the wind, the houses, the Elves he'd known. It was pleasant, rather than depressing, to hear. Maeralagos found a small smile appearing on his face.

His gaze wandered to the sunlight seeping through the branches above his head. Was Anuion looking at the same sight, farther off? Probably not, if he was still in that cave.

The thought of this sent a cold shiver down Maeralagos' spine. Orcs and Easterlings--foul things, to be sure. Nothing to be afraid of, but repulsion wasn't out of the question, at least in the case of the former, though he was by no means fond of the latter, either. He'd had enough experience with both to form a pertinent opinion...
