True, but Eowyn was helped by Merry, who's blade was made for that purpouse many years back. And Eowyn too, was meant to defeat the witchking. I think Sam was the one that was the biggest hero come to think of it. Most heroes were meant to do the deeds they did. It was all written out, they are remarkeble for doing it anyway, but sam was not meant to do anything. He just aided frodo, but his assistence was vital to the survival of the ring. Well, survival troughout the journey ofcourse.

Gollum is far from a hero, he did it all because of selfgane, and lost his life by it. For Gollum I only say: What comes around, goes around.
