Re: I wanna go back to the pedestal thing......... This has been an extremely interesting discussion. But it all boils down pretty much to one is a book and one is a movie. And they aren't the same. There's no way PJ could have filmed this epic without leaving something out, indeed, a lot of things. I intend to enjoy the movie for what it is, and then go back to the book(s), probably with increased enthusiasm.
