my first time of seeing it, people were up and down all the time, getting popcorn, going to the bathroom, whatever, but from the second the first black rider appeared, nobody moved. I came "out" of the story as the credits began, to find myself tearstreaked. I didn't even realise.but funny bits were a relief: I won't list them all, causer most of them have been said before, but one that made me was when Marry and Pippin are leading the orcs away from Frodo, Pippin: hey, it's working! Merry: I know it's working! Run! a very emotional picture all round.
