True, Bakshi was more loyal to the book, but it was fairly hard for me to focus on the dialogue and story line because I was laughing too hard at the terrible visual effect of the entire film. The only LotR animation that I enjoy is the one done on <I>The Hobbit</I>, but I'm not sure if that was still Bakshi's work or not.<P> <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR>Technically, I think Bakshi's goal outstretched his grasp, but I admire him for the effort.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>Same here, HCIsland.
