What background-events should be in the "Hobbit-movie?" - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

Well I'd say the attack of the White Council might be included because it shows what Gandalf actually does after he leaves Bilbo and the Dwarves.Also,Gandalf might have a flashback of finding Thrain in Dol Guldur when asked by Thorin how he got the map and the keys of Erebor.It would definately be interesting.I can allready imagine Gandalf sneaking through the poorly illuminated hallways of Dol Guldur to end up in the dungeons where he finds Thrain.
