But, logically, if only LotR actors are nominated, than only LotR actors can win. This is what I really care about. Awards being given where their due, and not to a simple story that is shallow enough to be told in two hours. (I am by no means putting them down, most of the movies I like are even less than that.) I would say Mortenson or Astin should get it, the case being that surely either of my two favourites would accredit it to everyone and so solve the problem of having to choose just one...
