I chose ROTK. It was a tough choice. It was hard to choose between it and FoTR. TTT was definatly not my favourite because of the changes to the plot, but by RoTK I had already come to terms with the no scouring bit and because the other movies set up the third, the other changes were easier to swallow. I have only seen it once, so I might change my mind, but for now it is RoTK. I chose it over FoTR just because it is so deeply emotional and everything comes to an end. It seems to me that it captures the essence of Tolkien better somehow. And I loved to see Frodo in turmoil over the ring, to me that is what the books are about.
