Lord of Angmar has just left Hobbiton.

This is a very hard choice. I am going to have to choose the Fellowship of the Ring, as I found the theatrical and extended editions both to be the best well-rounded of their respective categories. What made it great for me in particular were the Nazgul, Gandalf the Grey, and the beautiful sets of Moria and Lothlorien. I thought the Nazgul were great and the fact that I was seeing them for the first time in the Fellowship weighed on my best-movie decision. I thought Gandalf lost something when he became Gandalf the White in the movies, though I don't know how to explain it. I found no settings that rivaled Lothlorien and Moria in the second and third movies with the exceptions of Minas Tirith and Mount Doom.
