I think that out of all of them, Andy Serkis (gollum) is by far the best actor in the whole movie. He also had the hardest part, because he has to act as this creature with multiple personalities, both very detailed. He also has to get the right emotions and reactions from the audience (sadness, pity, hate) and he does it so well that he becomes almost real.<BR>But among the fellowship, I'd say that Viggo Mortenson was the best actor.
