Which actor or actress do you think deserves more credit? - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

I'd say that the most deserving actors would be:*Ian McKellan*Sean Bean*Andy Serkis*Sean Astin*Viggo Mortensen*Karl Urban*Brad Dourif Occasionally Viggo 'talked through his nose' as some people say, but I find it hard to imagine another Aragorn. Sean Bean actually expanded on the character of Boromir & made him more understandable, & oh yeah, he did an awesome job of acting also . Sean Astin made a great Sam (great acting again), & Andy Serkis put in so much work on making Gollum so great that it's hard not to include him. Dourif did really well as Wormtounge, & Karl Urban did well in what role/screen time he was given, and of course Ian McKellan was the absolute perfect Gandalf & probably the best actor in the films (with Sean Bean awfully close).[ 11:56 AM January 05, 2004: Message edited by: The Only Real Estel ]
