Folcwine did indeed lose two sons in war; however, Theoden lost only (only!) one. That's enough for any parent, isn't it?
I believe Helm Hammerhand is the other half of the answer; his son Haleth fell "last of all, defending the doors" of Meduseld, and Hama died at Helm's Deep. |
