In my post, Marcho is discussing the route with several male hobbits. I only named Fredigar and Ponto, but if Kransha and Regin want Kalimac and Harold to be there it will work. It might be interesting for the fathers to hear someone call the forest "unnatural"...planting little seeds of curiosity.

You might have either or both of them telling their wives about what Fred said, and the children overhear.
