I was at my sister's graduation and three people each had a sign with a letter: "f" "a" and "r" and my first thought was "I wonder if someones name is Faramir."

Then we were driving home and my sister commented on the trees in the area looking like they are reaching out at cars and I replied "they are probably Ents."

*You see "Prisoner of Azkaban" and you start linking it to LOTR. Loudly. In the theatre.

"Dementors?!? So THAT'S what happened to the Nasgul after the fall of Sauron!"

"Boy, that willow tree is pretty angry. Where's Tom Bombadil when you need him?"

"Hey, Sirius kinda looks like Boromir when the light hits him a certain way and his head is tilted like that and you take off your glasses and kind of squint!"

"Look, a warg!"

"Wizard school! Great! What's Gandalf teaching this term?"

*You see movies with LOTR actors and you call them by their LOTR names. EX- Hey, TROY's got Legolas and Boromir in it! XMen has Gandalf as an evildoer! Frodo is the Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist! Look, it's Arwenageddon! That last one might make a good movie, actually...

When you write something along the lines of this:

"That really depends what forest its in. If its in Fangorn its most likely to move because of an orc hacking at it with an axe, but if its in Lothlorien it would be because of the elves singing to it"

On an AS Level biology practice paper to the question:

"Explain, in detail, why and how plants can move and change their shape to fit their environment."

Oh dear...I realised what I'd done just after he'd collected my paper, and he read it out...I'm never going to live that down...

- When somebody asks you what you're doing, you look around, pull a face, and say, in a croaky voice...

"sneaking."

- When you're in the bug house in a zoo, see a tarantuala, and start thinking that you have the light of Earendil. And saying the charm...

- When you start thinking that you're branch for the biology project looks like a mini Ent.

- When you accept a half-dead spider plant from another biology project, wondering if singing to it will bring it back to life.

- When you're friends get so fed up of your obsession, they 'borrow' your Lotr pencil tin, and threaten to search your room for other Lotr stuff. They'd need a truck just for the posters in my room...

Oh my Maeggaladiel !!!

I don't think the Harry Potter fans liked that too much. you probably had to run out of the theatre and hide when the movie was finished.

Though I must admit I was actually thinking of LOTR as well when I watched the movie. Luckily I was able to keep it to myself. For example I thought Gandalf was a worthier wizard than the new Dumbledore. (Why did the other guy have to die )

They even considered Ian Mckellen playing the new Dumbledore but then he would have been to Gandalfy especially for us LOTR fans. We would pick out the differences immediatly. But I'm rambling now so I guess I should stop.
