OK, OK. A photo topic here on the Downs sounds like a good idea, but we'll need a couple things figured out before I give it a final OK.
First, who is going to maintain it? I would need one dedicated forum member who knows how to use FTP and how to resize images. You'd have to know how to FTP, because we would host the pics on the Downs server. You'd have to know how to resize images, because we'd have to set a size limit - 250 sounds senisible to me. I've had a few PMs about it (ohhh... I do so dislike when people gang up with PMs), but I'm not really sure who'll fit the bill just yet. Do I have any volunteers?

I'd be happy to volunteer, but I have no idea what FTP is, let alone how to use it. So there may be better candidates ...

I am an experienced FTP user and know exactly what to do. I also know how to resize images and currently have lots of time on my hands. I would love to offer my help.

Although like The Saucepan Man I don't know what FTP is, I was one of the people pushing to get something like this done here on the Downs, so I volunteer to help.
