Sharkū has just left Hobbiton.

How about Orff's 'Carmina Burana', esp. 'O Fortuna', a well-known epic piece of classical music, also often used in commercials. Most apt for the Pelennor, for example.
There also is a very sad cantata by J.S.Bach called 'The Brother of Sleep', a very emotional piece for example for the departure of Boromir.
