I always thought that Old-Man Willow was a Huorn, and that many of the trees of the Old Forest were Hurons too. I've heard many on this board saying that what Hal (Sam's cousin was it?) saw was an Entwife, but there's no reason to think so. What an Entwife would be doing up therein the (far) North? Last time the Entwives were seen was East of the Anduin, North of the Dead Marshes. That's a long way to the Shire. Sorry to say that but the Entwives may very well never be seen again. Now I'm talking like Treebeard in "Many Partings"!
