You know what? I actually don't think I'm a hopeless case. If I had to go for a month I'd go insane, but I just went four days without the Downs and didn't have a hernia or anything. Sure, I wondered what was going on, what I was missing, but I was having a spiffy time on vacation so I wasn't too bothered. (Of course, the fact that I saw the Lord of the Rings exhibit at a museum may have served to distract me
