Thanks, for the welcome. I have been haunting the forums for the last few weeks, but only started posting today.I suspect the page difference in the 2nd Edition is due to format or endpapers. But I am enjoying the thought of any new material. I tried a few bookstores, but they do not have it yet. Ah, well. I can wait. It will be my 6th copy of the Silmarillion, not counting the Martin Shaw cassette/cd editions I have. Love those. I have listened to the Silmarillion around 30-35 times, going to and from work.
