turgon has just left Hobbiton.
Silmaril

I have to say the battle between Morgoth and Fingolfin moved me the most. along with feanor. Also there was in one of "thelost tales" (I think) a more in depth story of the downfall of Gondolin. The part when a group of elves are escaping along a narrow path and are confronted by a Balrog and an elf i think his name was Glorfindel challenged and defeated him thus losing his life in the process. If anyone knows what book and the name of the elf I would like to know.
