Looking for a phrase, eh? Bleh, I don't have my books.

But seeing as there is (or would appear to be) a limited number of candidates, I will venture one further guess...

(not a complete guess though, for now that you mention UT I seem to remember a description of Tuor when in Turgon's hall or leaving it stating that he didn't know how great he looked, and it might have said something about looking the part of the father of the kings of men)

Nope, but not too far off. The page I'm looking at right now has both Manthor's name and the name I'm looking for on it.
