I don't know, I gues this line might have a little cheese to it, but not an overdose (for a change). Everyone is expecting him to just say 'dead', which is alright, but eaten has a much darker foreboding to it. Eaten implies a longer, more painful, and more terrifying death. He's not just going to be 'dead'...he's going to be eaten.
