I've read these books at least twice, some of them a lot more than that..

The Hobbit
Lord of the Rings
Silmarilion
Unfinished Tales

And also.....

The Letters of JRR Tolkien

I have the HoME vols 1-12 and have read most of 1,2 and 12 and bits and pieces of each of the others, they are good to dip in and out of.

I've also read some of The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, not all.
