Quick question... did Abarpa plan on returning to Andunie after he brought the kariborim to Romenna? If the remaining Faithful knew that the King's Men were looking for him, they would also know how dangerous it would be for him to be travelling back and forth across Numenor.
Oh, one other thing: if the remaining Faithful didn't know that Elendil planned on sailing, than why was Abarpa bringing the kariborim East anyhow? ~F

Good questions. My thought was that Abarpa and Kathaani would stay unless there was another emergency, with the understanding that their friends and family back in Andunie would hasten by sea, since there is the ship coming for them. Although now it sounds like there may be a forced march! Hmmm.....?
I do believe that the remaining faithful knew that Elendil planned on sailing; otherwise the rationale for getting the kariborim to Romenna is missing. Is there some post that leads you to understand the opposite? Please let us know so that we can correct that!
