Midgardsormen has just left Hobbiton.
Sting

Merendis!
I have read them again many times!! It does not take away the sadness each time when the book is over
What does help is that I go back and visit my sisters every two years and they both live in the country with mountains rivers and the sea...one even lives in a valley with a waterfall
I am going back in a few months for another visit and she has promised us a hike to a mountain cabin....spend the night, tell stories by candle light....it will be wonderful. There are places on the planet now that give you that same feeling, you just have to find them....
However, I do not mind the sadness at the end of the book.........it means the book has touched my profoundly and given me both joy and sorrow.
