Elvish woods, I hear = Eren (sounds like Eryn, Elvish for woods)

NB Erendis means lonely lady/bride in elvish but that is probably trying too hard...

I would say that it was a good clue as it followed the usual conventions. Next one should be fairly simple. Wretched fellow is sad taking look around.
