Lindir has made his argument for keeping the helm, and it is up to Malris to decide.
It sounds like a good argument to me. However, Lindir has never been known for making good choices. Anguirel, please check your pms.....

Just a reminder that Lindir's "owner" will be gone this Wednesday through Sunday, and her chance of gaining internet access during these days is very iffy. I am still running in circles trying to pack at this late hour
so won't have time to do a responding post.As you work out this helm thing, could someone involved in the conversation "carry along" the character of Lindir as needed? I think Lindir could live with Envinyatar's suggestion....at least the helm doesn't get tossed in the mud and Lindir gets to cart it about on the isle, even though he still feels it not wholly wise to leave the object in the world of men. If Malris says no--that the helm must be destroyed, Lindir will respect the choice of his leader but with some personal regret. I will look forward to reading how this plays out when I get back! Lindir now has the helm secured in his pack as the companions ready themselves to hare after the ghostly voice. ~*~ Envinyatar Orėmir has made his brother very sad . . . ~*~ Pio

I wondered about his destination, but didn't want to "intrude" on family business.
Till my return... Cami

This is a wee bit embarassing...but I'm not sure what to do now! I was expecting you lot to cry "Steady on, Malris! You're insane! You're ordering us to climb a mountain, at night, infested by spirits, while we drag a cursed helm around, not that you know we're doing that."
Instead, as one, you've said "Cool, we're up for a bit of suicide today." Shall we just attempt the ascent, realise its impossibility, and then turn back for a nap on the beach? I was expecting us to decide to do the climb in the morning, after a bit of remonstrating with Malris. Is it too late for someone to bring him to his senses?
