How very true, Child.  My most recent collectible was a book snd to me by a friend. It was A Hobbit's Travels: being the hitherto unpublished Travel Sketches of Sam Gamgee ~with space for notes~ I fully intend to use it someday, as I am a journalizer (is that a word? Well, if you follow me....)

About a month ago, my husband came home and gave me Gollum. The 'official' movie action figures from RotK. It was the Gollum that is standing on a big rock. There's a button on the rock when pushed he says two phrases. This was really sweet because he (husband) does not share my love of LotR and all things Tolkien.
Today, I got the 'ArtAsylum minimates', they look like Lego figures. The box I bought has Frodo, Gandalf, and Gollum. The other box has Saruman, Aragorn, and Legolas. Each box has a hidden figure inside! You'll have to P.M. me for the secret.
