Since beginning the year long experience of living just several doors down from several Canadians (at my school for the hockey, as it were), my own accent has taken on such quality that I ask questions uh-boat language differences, but that's not a bad thing, eh?

And because of a friend from home who adopted her friend's accent, I've also started calling my hometown my hoom-tone.

Really, dialect has less to do with where you live than who you live with or converse with on a regular basis. And if you live in an accentedly diverse dorm, you pick up all kinds of neat pronunciations.
