From the Enemy's Eyes- Gondorian (Movie) Spear Wall - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

Here's an idea that I actually got from another downer who posted a series of tactical discussion threads, asking posters what they would do in the face of several enemy units. This thread, and subsequent threads to come, will ask what you would do-as the evil forces such as mordor-when faced with "good" tactics and weapons.
In this case, my question concerns the Gondorian Spear Wall (as shown in the Courtyard battle seen in ROTK). How would you choose to combat this seemingly inpenetrable wall of spears and shields?

I would take Sauron's strategy, send in the brute squad (aka trolls), then just overwelm with a mass of orcs.

Trolls don't seem to be slowed much by spears, do they...
